The next introduction from our GetToKnow series is in celebration of #NationalBoss’sDay, spotlighting Ryan Schmidt, General Manager of GoToKnow, as we thank him for all the hard work and dedication that he shows to his employees and colleagues across the Sapphiros community. #teamsapphiros

As our General Manager at GoToKnow, Ryan is responsible for the success of the commercial organization as well as the operational excellence of our laboratories. His duties are focused on empowering the team to achieve the goals that have the most impact for consumers.

Prior to joining GoToKnow, Ryan was VP of Marketing at Visby Medical, where he was responsible for building and managing the commercial function including customer service, marketing, sales, and business development. Previously, he was VP of Marketing for Alere Inc, a global developer and manufacturer of rapid point of care diagnostics. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Communications, English and Spanish and an Executive MBA in International Business.

Good managers set boundaries, establish rules, and create a work environment that is fair but also nurturing. As the General Manager of GoToKnow, Ryan has worked diligently to cultivate an inclusive and welcoming environment. He describes the company culture as “Bright. Innovative. Fast. Exciting. Vibrant. At GoToKnow we take great care and dedication to create a company culture where everyone feels heard and that way, they feel valued.
